Emergency Medical Technician certification must be obtained prior to the completion of the initial twelve months of employment as a Firefighter. Upon appointment of employment to the position of Firefighter, employee shall be required to obtain certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.). Under direct supervision, performs emergency operations, participates in fire prevention activities to assist in operating and maintenance of fire apparatus and equipment maintain fire stations and other related duties.
